I'm hoping this will start an ongoing thread of M4/3 wedding images! Please share your images, technical info, settings, and even image backstory if you can. I think this can be a great resource as we try to use M4/3 more in wedding work.

All the following images from last week's wedding were edited in Capture One, and sharpened using NIK Sharpener...

Seeing Dad for the first time in her dress... this image was photographed with an EM1, Panasonic 12-35 at F3.2, ISO 2000, and a touch of flash (Metz 64) to counter strong overhead lighting.

Bride is just arriving at church and waiting for Dad... very bright sun! EM1 with Panasonic 35-100mm at F4.5, ISO 200, 1/200sec no flash. Some skin touch-up in Nik and Shine-off.

Church wide angle with EM10 and Oly 9-18mm. F4, ISO2000, 1/100sec. No flash, tough light to balance, so I just used Nik white neutralizer off her veil.

Bride and Groom finally alone! EM1 with Panasonic Nocticron 42.5mm. ISO 500, 1/160, at F4 and a little fill flash using Metz 58. I like the Metz 58 because I can use it without AA batteries off my belt mount Godox battery that also powering the Metz 64 at the same time. The Goom's tux really was blue... never seen that before! I didn't really go for shallow DOF here, don't know why not.

The Nocticron was actually able to focus with the lights down at the reception. Really pleased about that as it allows me to keep some weight off (other camera I'm carry at this point is a D750). Bride's Mom and Dad dancing late in the reception... EM1 - F2, ISO3200, 1/100sec.

Nice set of images.

Anyone doing weddings full time using m4/3 gear.

The last time I did a wedding wa in the 90's, we all used 120 gear and all used to laugh when someone new showed up using 35mm, now everyone thinks FF Digital is the big boys toy and they all laugh at the C sensor guys.

So how about m4/3

I used to sell quite a few 60x40 inch enlarments which 120 could deliver without any problems, but 35mm used to struggle to enlarge to 20x16, what do modern FF digital shooting wedding photographers produce these days.

Did the photography and videography for my sons wedding. Had a couple of helpers. Flicking my em1 from stills to video was very tedious even though I had set up a FN1 button to help with it. Ended up using some of the stills in the video to fill gaps needed there and also cut stills from the video for the wedding book to fill gaps there. In the end it all worked out and they are extremely happy with both the video and the images. YAY

Images edited in Lightroom and some in Photoshop Elements using Topaz Plugin. I shot with 2x Em1 and 1x Em5, assistant shot with 1x em5. Set up the em5 on a tripod for the wedding video to cut to and then used the 2x em1's with 12-40 f2.8 and 35-100 f2.8 for shooting parts.

Video can be viewed here (this is the first edit and has been tweaked a little since but I haven't uploaded the new one yet):

A break in some of the cloud so dropped to 1/320 and f9 for the background and then used flash to fill.

Threat of rain all day but the moody sky does look great in images.

They had a beach wedding at Mooloolaba Qld (Australia). The ship thing is nearby at Alexandra Headland, rocks are at Mooloolaba. It threatened the blackest sky just after the wedding and then started to rain. Really thought we wouldn't get any images at all (you can see how black the sky is in a frame after the wedding on the video whey a child is walking with their back to you. Yes, it was that black). Luckily it cleared quickly and left us with this great sky.

After that I had to switch to my D610/D750 combo as the M4/3's cameras couldn't focus in the dark and high ceiling'd barn reception room. Not even the new Leica 42.5 Nocticron. Thinking of getting an LED light like maybe the new Fotodiox round pancake.

M4/3 cameras don't seem to turn on the flash focus assist light like Nikon/Canon do. Just the little on camera assist light. I don't want to keep whining about it but I love my M4:3 gear and want to use it more.
