72 hours post-op, I can see!

  1. Out with the cloudy organic lens in with a Tecnis Aspherical. Little better than 20/30 at the 1 day post-op check up. Today my brain is receiving an even better image. No problems with the artificial lens or eye. Broke out the mu43 gear. Good news is definition, contrast viewed through the evf is much improved. Plus precise manual focusing is possible. Bad news is once again am not a big fan of EVF relative to OVF.

I did a little bit of quick googling, and I can't quite figure out what kind of surgery you had.

Which part of the anatomy of the eye was modified, and how?

Did you have your cornea replaced with an artificial one?

Regardless, I hope you heal up well and your vision keeps on improving!

Congrats. Interocular lens surgery is my guess. My grandmother was thinking about having this done due to cataracts.

  6. Cataract surgery. The improvement in definition and contrast has been more than expected. The slowly developing cataract and the brains ability to adapt masked the effects of the diseased lens until reaching a tipping point. Side benefit is the almost 20/20 vision and no night driving halos/starburst and hard glare.
