For those wonder what those might be:

Crepuscular rays - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Crepuscular rays (play /krɨˈpʌskjələr/) in atmospheric optics, are rays of sunlight that appear to radiate from a single point in the sky, specifically, where the sun is. These rays, which stream through gaps in clouds (particularly stratocumulus) or between other objects, are columns of sunlit air separated by darker cloud-shadowed regions. The name comes from their frequent occurrences during crepuscular hours (those around dawn and dusk), when the contrasts between light and dark are the most obvious. Crepuscular comes from the Latin word "crepusculum", meaning twilight.[1]

For example, the light that seems to emanate from Mt. Williams itself in this shot.

I was surprised to find there's not that many shots I have taken recently that fit this theme. This one is outside the back of my friend's blacksmith shop. It's a pretty view, somewhat marred by the scrap cars and shipping containers. Made for an interesting juxtaposition visually!

Shot with OM-D and Canon FD 85-300mm f/4.5. Of all those posted thus far, I think my favorite is the one just above this post. Really great shot.

My initial thought was someone Super Saiyan'd or Kamehameha'd behind the trees. Nice one!

Interesting thought. I looked back at the image and although I didn't think that at first, I can totally agree with your Dragonball Z interpretation.

    Congrats!!

I wonder though if you have the shot of what happened next -- you know, where Gandalf shows up after Khazad-dum...?

    OK I'll try one...

Heres one from Chino Hills at sunrise from Gilman Peak (GF3 with 45-175x, handheld). A very nice low-light telephoto lens...
