Post-Processing Challenge Rules
  1. The Challenge Master provides an image or images to be "improved" upon by way of post-processing, as well as a closing date for entries.
  2. Entrants are to post their entries, visible in this thread, at a resolution of 1000 to 1600 pixels in the longest dimension, prior to the closing date.
  3. Each entrant is allowed two entries in the Challenge.
  4. At the close of the Challenge, the Challenge Master will select a Winner and Runners-up.
  5. The Winner of the challenge is honored as the Master of the next Challenge.

Notes:
  • Images provided by Challenge Masters must be their own. They are posted solely for the purpose of this Challenge; not to invite critique or criticism nor for other uses. If Entrants post their entries at a photo sharing site, they should credit the owner of the original image.
  • "Improve" is a subjective term, and may include many creative ideas, as well as traditional "fixing". The Challenge Master agrees that Entrants may make any changes they deem fit in their entries.
  • Entrants are strongly encouraged to share the tools and techniques used for their entries, however this is not a requirement for entry.
  • Compositing is allowed, provided the use of the donor image does not violate any licensing or copyright restrictions.
  • As we all know, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. The Challenge Master is encouraged (but not required) to state the criteria used to decide upon a Winner. While we may not all agree with the result, the Challenge Master's decision is final. Please refrain from posting adverse comment.
  • If the Winner is unable to post a new Challenge within five days, the honor passes to the next Runner-up.

Wonderful pic - for my tastes you nailed the composition.

Exposure tweaks in Adobe Camera Raw. Some warming and shadow lifting (it's probably too light - so it goes). So far, so easy. And then... I decided I wanted both to promote the metal roof a bit and to sharpen the downsized display jpg. Moiré alert! It took several iterations to achieve something approaching acceptable. Great learning opportunity - I spent a great deal of time generating and sharpening display copies. Needless to say, this is hardly a problem at full size but the roof becomes a high-frequency object at forum display size.

After @Hendrik planted moire in my mind, I had to check the picture I was going to enter and of course a nice fan pattern of moire on the tin roof!
So I did what I have done before to get rid of moire, changed the interpolation when creating jpg from Bi-cubic Sharper to Bilinear.
This is the bilinear one as my entry #1:

And so you can see the difference here is thumbnail of the original with Bi-cubic sharper interpolation.

Entry #2.
As I was sensitized to moire on the tin roof I had to find a way to keep the sharpness from Bicubic Sharper in interpolation for jpg.
The Bilinear is not as sharp!
So I had to experiment a little and what worked for me is to put an automask local adjustment on the tin roof and give it a +2 on Blur.
This is the result:

So maybe a little Blur on the part of your image that you get moire on is a way to get rid of it and still have the rest of the image as sharp as you like!

#2 Another approach to the same roof problem, done entirely in Adobe Camera Raw other than sharpening of the display image, which was accomplished in Topaz DeNoise AI, masking the roof from application. Also defringing.

Entry #1. Superb shot. Elements, DeNoise, a bit of Sharpening plus some "fiddling on the roof".

Out of contest. B&W (faux yellow filter) and slight duotone in PS.
