I'm researching photo hosting/storage sites and I noticed on 500px.com you never ever see images with boarders of any type. Anyone have an idea as to why that is? Do they not allow images with boarders (although I can't imaging why or how they would police it). Or are image boarders so "tacky" to "real" photographers that they wouldn't think of it?

As soon as I find a nice border and figure out how to use it all my 500px stuff will have borders!

I hardly ever look at photos there - just post.

It's because 500px does a really good job at keeping your high resolution photos safe.

Because if you want to sell an image, one of the 500PX rules is that it must not have any borders....

I see a lot of people using borders for their copyright.

    Just my observation.
