There's a 'make and offer' option, I wonder how low they'll go?

Ebay's offer process allows counteroffers so you can make a low ball offer (e.g., $50 off) and see what the seller counters with, which is usually their bottom price.

In this case though the seller must have set a pre-determined auto-decline floor price because my offers were all immediately rejected up to $230.

Oh yes, I forgot about the preset floor price. I checked and I have purchased filters from this seller before - they are USA based and had fast shipping.

I made offer of $230, did anyone get this price?

Yeah I got denied. I think the silver one might have more leeway.

I received a reply that no offers will be accepted while the item is on sale. Not sure if that's an auto-reply or not...

I got a $235 offer denied. Guessing the leeway is probably around 5-10 bucks which is still not too bad. However, didn't Amazon have this lens for $229 around the holidays?

Yeah, I remember that sale. I believe it was overstock.com that was selling it for $230.

I'm new to fisheye, so there is no uv/protection filter for fisheye right?

It was $229 on the amazon Black Friday lightning deal. $50 off.

Correct. You may also want to check out a recent thread where a member kept finding images from a newly purchased lens "soft" looking until he figured out that his filter was causing the problem.

Overstock had the fisheye for $243 and some people were able to use a $10 off coupon to get it for $233. It normally sells for $300 so $249 is a good price.
