4K GH4 iMovie editing

    So iMovie isn't pro level, but I thought it might be handy from time to time for some uses. Like stabilizing 4k, given the ability to crop heavily if you planned for it. But using iMovie stabilization at 33% created a rolling shutter type effect. That was unexpected.

    So back in the real world, what's working best for stabilization? Makes me miss my Olympus...

    I'm sorry to hear that you miss Olympus and their fabulous video quality. What Olympus 4k camera were you using before switching to the GH4 for 4k video?

    Obviously the best stabilisation is a tripod ;)

    We use a combination of FCPX or After Effects. Sometimes one works better than the other.
