I am now becoming far more excited by this lens and it is fast to focus and has a nice bokeh as well as rendering nice sharp images with good colour.

My first one had the disease; but the replacement was worth waiting for it. I also took a little time to warm up to it, but now it is a favorite.

The colors are very vivid, they really pop. Are these straight out of the camera or processed raw? I love the colors.

    Hi Bob,

As always, I shoot only in Raw so that I can ensure I get the best quality end result from it.
I used basic editing in Lightroom 3, saved as 16 bit then moved to Photoshop to add border and correct any false colours, I then convert to 8bit before saving.

Ian, Thanks for starting this. Been looking for some feedback. Got myself a copy as i cant wait for the 35-100mm. Only managed to do some shots at the tele-end ...... boring shots though as i dont have any other subjects except ice bergs but comments are welcome and appreciated.

Here's a few flower shots I took with the 45-175.
It's a very good value for money lens.
