Cool, that 42.5 is a nice alternative to the Nocti and the Voigt if you don't mind MF. Smaller and lighter than most vintage 50/1.2's as well and about the same price or even less than some. Will be interesting to see how good they are optically.

The Mitakon 42.5 f1.2 is impressively small especially considering it is built for an APSC sensor. At 325g it weighs in at 25% less than the Nocticron.

Definitely have my eye on the 42.5mm. I hope that the build quality is decent too. I don't like how they make general focal lengths and use them for all mounts, like with the 35mm 0.95 for e mount and m43, and the 42.5mm for m43 fuji and emount, it's understandable though. Also, does anybody have any experience with their Nikon or Canon to m43 lens turbo? If so, how is the optical and build quality?

That should be good news for u43 users since we'll just be using the central part of a bigger imaging circle. That should equate to better edge sharpness and reduced vignetting.

That's a good point. I just feel that it would be better if they made specific versions to suit the sensor sizes, for example a 25mm f0.95 for m43 instead of just changing the mount on the nex mount 35mm f0.95 version. However it is definitely understandable from the monetary and logistical viewpoint of the company.
