I know. After reading your threads (and seeing your images, of course) I am sorely tempted.

Let me know what you get it for. When I got mine the going rate was $1500ish. If you get it with the EC-20 for that price it is an incredible deal........I am guessing someone is trying to get the cash together for the 300 Pro. Personally, I am selling my EC-20 after I get the 300 Pro but keeping the 150, that lens is just to damn amazing to ever sell.

I'm going to keep my eye on it, but it will probably go up quite a bit. I'm kicking myself a little bit :)

    He's also selling an 11-22, 14-35, 8mm FE, and 12-60SWD.

The last one shows as sold for $1200. I can imagine it's a hard lens to sell as not many are in the market for it. With the 300/4 coming out I bet a lot more hit the market, along with EC-20's. I have no intention of selling mine after I get the 300/4, they make a great combo.

Honestly, it's worth $1,500 given the amazing IQ and fast aperture. There is still nothing in m4/3 to even compare to it. I do admit to wanting a Canon 200mm f/2.0 with a metabones adapter tho.

4/3 lens prices have been dropping lately. I got my 50,f2 for $135 and an Oly 7-14,f4 for $600. That's SHG glass and there was a 14-35 SHGfor the $500s that I passed on, tempting as it was. Just last week I passed on a 35-100,f2 that sold for $720, because I'm holding out for a 150,2. It would be perfect for my daughter's ballet performances. I have a few months before the next, but I'm tired of thinking about it. I think I'm talking myself into this one.

Fwiw, that one for $1350 has been relisted at that price for the third time now. I'd bet it's price may drop before this listing expires or it will finally return for less. I think the demand just isn't there now.

Those are some good deals. The Pro lenses have caused a drop in price on the 4/3 lenses I think. You will not regret getting the 150/2, it really is that amazing. Even with the EC-14 it's still a respectable 420/2.8 and tack sharp.

Well, I got it. Thanks for posting it. I never would have seen it the way it was listed.

I don't know if I needed it for the ballet performances, but there will be no excuses now. :)

No, it's opening price was $1000. $1350 was the BIN price.

There is another listed at $1350 now that is on its third relist. Expect that seller to drop the price before end or in its next listing. Two have sold at $1200 now in two weeks, so should be safe to say the market has definitely shifted down for 4/3 lenses

That will be my last lens for awhile. Sure hope the em-1m2 still supports 4/3 lenses now. :)

Sorry to take the thread a little off topic, but as the dad of a ballet dancer, I am curious why you chose the ZD 150 over the 40-150 Pro. Is it for the extra stop? Do you shoot from the back of the theater or from your seat and so the extra bulk and lack of zoom is not relevant? Just curious as I was planning to rent the 40-150 pro (and maybe an E-M1) for my daughter's next show.

In itself, seeing Phocal's sample on this forum the lens is just spectacular and I can see any E-M1 owner wanting to own it.

YES...........another one breaks down and gets the Little Tuna. Can't wait to see your shots from it and see what you think of the lens.

Yes SV. I used the 50-200 last time and it was a challenge getting a fast shutter speed so I got few pics not full o motion blur. Shot mostly at f3.3 with that lens. 40-150 pro may have been fine as would myn150,2.8 macro, but I'm sure there would still be many shots missed. F2 should help.

Here's an example of the best I could do. Both me and the lens will be better next time.

Makes. Those ballet performances are a challenge. I would love to see your results with the 150/2. My own plan in the past has been to get seats near the aisle close enough to the stage to use a fast prime on a monopod. Always a bunch of missed shots, but enough keepers to not bee too unhappy.

A 75,1.8 would work if I could get close enough, but this ballet school frowns on that and there are better angles from the back anyway. I'll def post a discussion about the difference if any. This lens has such a good rep, I'm looking forward to using it.
