I love my 45mm lens, but I want to shoot wide open outside...so I need to get my hands on some ND filters, but NOBODY seems to make them in 38 mm.

Closest I found was one cheap 0.6 ND filter on Adorama.

Does anyone here have any tips?

Edit: The 45mm lens is 37mm, not 38

  2. Correct me if I"m wrong but I think the 45mm is not a 38mm filter thread.

All of my filters are one of two sizes... 60mm or 77mm. I use step up rings accordingly. Much cheaper than buying the same filter at different sizes.

The 45 is 38 mm. I've got a 38mm UV filter on there, because they make those down to that small. I'll try and find a step up ring...I should plan my next lens purchase and get a step up ring to that diameter

Hoya makes them and at least sells them as part of a Digital Filter Kit.

I have a 52mm filter which I use on my Pana 14-45 and Oly 9-18. With a stepup ring I can use the same filter also on my Oly 45 and Oly 60.

In the end less filter to carry around and cheaper as well... :)
