2D or 3D, that is the question?

I general take two cameras with me when I hit the road. My tried and trusty TX5 and one other. Sometimes that's a CSC for better quality but of late I've been using my Fuji W3 for 3D. The W3 is a crappy 2D camera, but it's a great 3D camera. Many CSCs have 3D modes but they pale in comparison to the W3 as a 3D camera. I'm about to hit the road for another couple of months. Would you take a high quality 2D camera that can take OK 3D shots or a high quality 3D camera that can take OK 2D shots? Keep in mind that I'll also have my TX5 which takes good 2D shots for a P&S camera.

That all depends on how/where you display your images... Nobody would ever see my images in 3D so obviously I would pick the 2D choice. Your mileage may be different.
