    Hi all,

I recently went to the 2014 US Formula 1 race in Austin, TX and I just wanted to share some F1 pics with you guys.

Here is the whole gallery: http://www.peteryeestudios.com/recently_added

I brought my OMD EM5 and also rented the Panasonic Lumix G Vario 100-300mm F/4.0-5.6 OIS Lens. I used manual focus and waited for the cars to drive by because tracking AF was basically unusable. The pics aren't the sharpest, so I hope I can do better next year. :D

    Thanks,
    - Pete

I agree, the first shot is the best. Everyone generally tries to fill the viewfinder with nothing but the car and loses what the entire event is about. The first shot is dynamic, in a sense, far more than the others.

    Good work!
They look sharp enough and are well framed.

Thank you for your kind words. I think renting this lens really showed me the real advantage of m4/3s. Decent image quality at 600mm in such a compact and light package. Some guy brought a canon equivalent lens to the race and it was HUGE. I can't wait to see what the new Oly 300mm can do.
