Also got the Olympus flyer. Good deal indeed for new & warrantied. Sell the lens and have the E-M10 for just over $400.

Just FYI the lens won't be worth much - there are so many out there. Just for fun I got a quote on selling to KEH - $18... This price is less than the refurb body (only) in the Outlet.

Don't sleep on the Olympus 40-150, especially at $19. I agree that's far from the most exciting lens in the market, but it's very capable (given enough light). I agree it would be silly to NOT include that lens if one were planning on taking advantage of this deal. Even if you already own another copy.

Discovered an even BETTER deal: the body-only price is $450, the lens rebate makes the 14-42 IIR lens FREE. So skip the bundle and you save $50. Add the 40-150 for $19 (after rebate) and you've got a very capable 2-lens package for $468.

This works on Amazon, but I would expect the other retailers to be similar.

EDIT: Even better, include a free AmazonBasic Holster Camera Case with a silver E-M10 body-only (sorry, no black).

Amazon does offer a free 14-42, but the other dealers, that I checked only give 100$ off the 14-42, unlike Amazon with 200$

Good catch. Still $468 for a two lens E-M10 kit is a very good deal, even if you are not able to avoid paying sales tax on it. The $50 savings should more than offset the taxes in most jurisdictions anyway. Throw in the bonus "holster case" with the silver model and it's that much more of a steal.

New guy here. Should I get this set up and return my newly purchased E-PL6? Seems like a much better deal.

I think this is a much better camera than the E-PL6... I'm trying to decide if I should bundle the 17mm 1.8 with it... GAS overload.

It's hard to say. If you picked the E-PL6 up for $300, that's also a great deal. Beyond the obvious differences between the two cameras (the E-M10's viewfinder and resultant slightly larger size), the E-M10 also adds WiFi capability, improved (3-axis) stabilization, a higher-resolution display and an extra control dial. I would rate this E-M10 deal a better value, but it really depends on your personal usage scenarios.

Beyond the two "kit" zooms, none of the other lens deals strike me as "can't miss" bargains. The 17mm is a terrific lens, but if I were new to the system, I would just grab the two zooms to get my feet wet. Then I'd watch the Buy & Sell thread to try to find a deal on the 17/1.8.

You can actually order 2x of each kit lens - silver and black one, total 4 lenses for mere $40.
Holster bag comes with black EM10 too.

Thanks. I'm mainly using it for backpacking and fishing photos so weight and size are a consideration. I may hold off and just get a new prime for my E-PL6 instead.

At Amazon if you get the body only, you can add the black and sliver versions of the 14-42 and 40-150 separately, and get rebates for all of them. So for around $517 (depending on tax) you get the EM-10 body, 2 14-42s and 2 40-150s. Then sell the extra lenses on ebay for around $75 each. Or all 4 lenses to drop the price of the body to something between $200-$250.

Can't get the Amazon deal to work. Unable to get the bundle discount during check out. Was charged the full price. So I exit out. Oh well.....

Hmmm...the discounts are no longer showing up for me either as they were yesterday. Perhaps that's just a temporary glitch, or perhaps the party is over. The deal terms do state: "Amazon.com reserves the right to modify or end this promotion at any time."

Unless you're just getting into the system. A friend of mine just ordered the EM-10 with kit lens, the 40-150mm, the 25mm and the 45mm all for $1k brand new with warranty - that seemed like a pretty darn good deal to me.
