I've been experimenting with using my old MF lenses on the Olympus E-PL2, so far with success. Photos using the 85/2 AI Nikkor can be seen here. Tests tonight of coin photography using the 55/2.8 AI Nikkor and 90/2.8 Panagor showed impressive image quality.

I'd like to try my old 180/2.8 AI Nikkor, but the lens does not have a tripod mount. Hanging a 2 pound lens off the front of a small camera like the E-PL2 on a tripod scares me a bit. Would I be expecting too much of the Olympus putting that much stress on the lens mount? Might I damage the lens mount on the E-PL2?
