Update: you can use the coupon 'reg8855' at the Oly store (once you've logged in) for 10% off and free shipping for the 12mm lens!

Hmmmm... you get 10% off, but they charge sales tax (unlike Adorama), so you only get about $30 off total (that is, in my state where sales tax is just north of 6%)

Is the Oly store quick in delivery, or is Adorama quicker?

Kind of interesting site - they have the original EP1 listed on their for $499 body-only and $799 with the original 14-42 kit lens. They really think the 14-42 is a $350 lens?

    Ray- Quite right. Weird pricing.

WT21 - I figure, unlike Panny, they're not saying 'backordered', so they may be able to ship before Adorama gets their stock. I will be canceling my Adorama order on Monday - assuming Oly confirms with a tracking number. Hey...it's a crap shoot!

I placed the Oly store order anyway and cancelled Adorama. $30 saved is $30 saved!.

Spoke to OlympusStore this morning. Lens is indeed in stock and shipping! With this assurance, I cancelled my pre-order. (Sorry, Amin, no link credits...still hope for the E-P3, though!)

Tom, my order says "filled" too -- but I don't see a link for tracking shipping. Did you find one?

Also, while the original quote when I placed the order added sales tax, the latest update seems to indicate NO sales tax, so I think I'm saving the full $80 (!)

    Thanks for the link!

No tracking email yet...I imagine that there will be an email when they ship (they said within 48hours). Looks like still paying tax...

I got the same notice. Dang! I'm away from home until late Weds! FedEX overnight. Pretty cool.

I'm secretly hoping I won't be in love with the lens...the Panny 14mm is so much smaller and (especially second hand) cheaper. Would free up cash for the 45!

I've got 30 days to decide...hoping I'll get to try it on the new E-P3 before I have to make a final decision! Uggghhh!

Im wondering why the US price is $800 but the equivalent UK price would be $1200 (£750).

 Isn't this typical of Oly and Panny pricing? Not saying it's a good thing at all! :frown:

Have created a new thread: Got the 12mm! Compared (size wise) to Panny 20mm and Pen F 38mm.
