I feel bad for those who bought their EM1 and 12-40 in hope to get the 200 dollars rebate. They can now get the 200 dollars off instantly instead of waiting for the check to come in.

Of course, this comes up 1 day after the last day that the 12-40 qualifies for a rebate.

I wonder if it's possible to get amazon to pricematch themselves on this deal. They are sometimes good about that. I'm gonna try.

1400 is still pretty steep for the EM1. I will probably pick it up again when it hits 1K. I had one at one point but I sold it because it isn't really that much better than E-M5 BUT It has much better build and I love the feel of the wheels and buttons.

With you on that one. After all glass is the most important part of one's setup anyhow.

Looks like Amazon increased the price of the 12-40mm f2.8 from $999 to $1199, negating the $200 savings.

Amazon did not increase the price - it lists as $999 and the discount is subtracted at checkout

I am calling them tomorrow to ask for a price match - I bought the 12-40, E-M1 and 75 1.8 2 weeks ago!

Adorama still says late November on their page for the 12-40 that I ordered with the EM1. Of course UPS says they forgot to unload it so it has been sitting in limbo for 4 days for the EM1 while I await the lens to ship. Has anyone had good dealings with Adorama in the past in which they will give me the discount since it has not shipped? If not I'm considering cancelling and sending back the camera and just ordering from B&H

Wow you guys are shady! The 12-40 when bought with the E-M1 included the MIR before 2 Dec, which you should qualify for. Now it's just an instant savings instead.

That said, LMK if anyone has success with Adorama.

I just contacted Olympus Directly...they've asked me to send my invoice for my EM1 bought in November and the 12-40 (yet to ship) ... not sure what they're going to offer. I inquired if I could purchase the 9-18mm and it looks as though they're going to honor that. I'll follow up.

Olympus just agreed to sell me the 9-18mm II at $499...don't think I can pass that up. Very cool. I've hated the day I sold my original...didn't think I'd miss it that much. Anyway...it makes no sense that Amazon increased its price by $200 since this is an instant rebate from Olympus...right?
