Looks like Olympus has updated their $100-$200 'instant rebate' for February (runs Feb. 2-Mar. 1). Applies to the new E-M10, as well as the E-M1, E-M5 and E-P5. $200 off the 12-40/2.8, 12/2, 75/1.8 and 9-18/4-5.6. $100 off the new 25/1.8, 14-42/3.5-5.6 EZ, 17/1.8 and 75-300/4.5-5.6 II.

I wish the 45 and 60 had discounts as well. I wanted to get an E-M10 + 25 + 45 + 60 (I already have the 75) as my prime kit setup (and sell the 25/1.4). Oh, well, maybe it wasn't meant to be.

I've gone down the Fuji route several times - first with an X-E1, then with an X100S. I don't care for the look of the X-Trans files, the size of some of the lenses or the AF. I've already got a FF Canon system which I'm keeping so the larger sensor isn't as interesting to me.

Are these lens deals only if you buy through Olympus or will local dealers offer the same promotions?

Amazon already has it up on their website. I haven't checked the other local dealers. I'm keeping my X-E2. It was love at first sight for me with the X Trans files (had an X-E1, never owned the x100s) but I really want to get back into micro four thirds. Planning on using my tax rebate to partially fund this. I miss handholding for long exposures up to 1.6secs, using the super compact 75/1.8, and using AF for macro bee shots.

I've checked out the Amazon and Adorama listings and from what I can tell Amazon doesn't have all the lenses listed and Adorama only lets you order one 'bundle' of a camera and lens. If you select an additional lens, that lens replaces the one you initially selected (unless I'm adding things to the cart incorrectly). Olympus's website, however, allows you to add multiple lenses and stack the discounts (e.g., you save $300 on a 75mm f1.8 and 25mm f1.8 if purchased with qualifying camera)

I don't know why BH or Adorama do not exactly follow Olympus camera deals, Adorama only offer one discount lens for EM1 or EM10, BH only offers discount lenses for EM1 not EM10.

Odd. Of course with Olympus you have to pay sales tax so part of that discount goes away.

Some of us have to pay sales tax with Amazon, B&H and Adorama, too, so it's a wash.

If you have to pay sales tax at B&H and Adorama, you probably don't have to pay sales tax at Samys, and they are also offering the same prices and the instant rebates with the lens+body purchases. I personally do have to pay the tax at Amazon and Samys, but not B&H and Adorama and Cameta.

Seems like some good deals. I've been looking at getting my wife an EM-10, and a 75-300mm for myself, but I may end up jumping on a 25mm and 12-40 as well. The fact that the rebates stack (at least through Amazon and Olympus) make for some nice options for anyone considering any OMD and multiple lenses.

The Amazon promotion only applies to Amazon direct sales, not third party. Do open box purchases from Amazon qualify? I think I already know the answer to this but hope springs eternal.

I just took advantage of this because I wanted a couple of lenses. I bought the E-M10 to get the deal but will be parting with the camera (already have E-M1). Will post in "for sale" once I receive it, but if anyone is looking for the camera only, at a discount, shoot me a PM.

Although the 25mm is not listed on the offer page at Amazon, if you add it to an order you will still get the $100 discount

I wish they would just lower the price of the lenses instead of penalizing those of us who already have an Olympus camera.

I think that's the point - they're trying to improve body sales, so lowering the lens prices alone wouldn't really serve the purpose.

I'm guessing they're after system switchers. If you're on the fence and there's a special deal, it might push you over. Build your own replacement kit. Just lowering the prices would cost the same, but there would be no "savings".

Once they've wrung out this particular source of income they can go back to list price and offer a different deal so some other demographic can "save" money.

    I guess I'm little cynical.

It may just work on me as I'm considering adding the m43 system and would need a couple lenses.
