Chuckle. Was just thinking that I like this bag - then a competition for it comes along!

    Is this diffraction?

Thankfully I do not need to stop-down to such an extent (on this lens at least); I was just messing around with my new toy and seeing what would happen. The f1.8-5.6 range is probably just fine for the majority of my photos. I was more worried that this was a general problem with the GH2 which I...

    Is this diffraction?

£23 one off ebay (cam2uk). It seems like a very tight fit - no wobbles whatsoever.

    Is this diffraction?

I've been assuming that because the lens "should" be free from imperfections that all things being equal that if it is a good lens on a DSLR, that it is a good lens on the Panasonic GH2 - obviously that assumption could be very wrong! I know that there are some issues with older manual lenses...

    Is this diffraction?

The spot got smaller and more intense at smaller apertures, ie. larger and less visible for larger apertures. The photos above did try to show that, but it's not that easy to see on these lower quality JPGs.

    Is this diffraction?

No, I wasn't using a filter. The lens is pretty much mint (bought it new, haven't used it, now migrating to m43rds), so I don't think it is the lens itself. I still have a Nikon DSLR, so I could test it tomorrow, depending upon the weather.

    Is this diffraction?

..and it if it is not apparent, it depended entirely upon the aperture of the lens, ie. it was worst at f22 and more or less disappeared at f8. Luke.

    Is this diffraction?

That thought did pass my mind, however there was not a scrap of sun to be seen (very overcast here this evening) and I experienced this exact same problem in the center of the lens on several series of photos at different locations. Luke.

    Is this diffraction?

Hi All, This is very much a beginners question, but is this grey circle/artefact in the centre of these photos a caused by diffraction? I've never experienced this before so was quite surprised to see it. I have just bought an adapter for a Nikon 50mm 1.8D lens that I had so was testing it...

    Alternatives to Panasonic 14-150mm Vario-Elmar?

Thanks for your thoughts. I guess I was wondering if a 100mm+ legacy prime existed that would be lighter & cheaper than the PL14-150. I have no experience of legacy lenses whatsoever and there seem so many possibilities. I will also contemplate something like the Oly 14-150mm as well, but at...

    Alternatives to Panasonic 14-150mm Vario-Elmar?

I have this lens for my GH2. In general I'm very happy with the IQ - I like sharp images, and this will generally provide them. However it is big and very expensive - I can't help thinking that I could find something smaller and cheaper with a similar IQ. From all that I have read, the current...

    Hi from Lancaster,UK

Hi All, I've been following the forums for some time now after buying a GF1 ~6mths ago. I feel too much of a beginner to post much, but hopefully I'll gain some confidence over time. I also own a Nikon D7000, so very much on the fence wrt which way I want to go. The D7000 does seem to easily...
