Manual Focus on G2 & details loss

When in MF mode during the focus zoom both the EVF and LCD are razor sharp & also with adapted lenses. It only after the pic is taken and reviewed in the play mode I can notice the loss in detail, it’s not as sharp as what I was looking at. I’m guessing is something to do with the in camera...

Manual Focus on G2 & details loss

I have a question which has been on my mind for quite a while, regarding the resolution shown on screen or the EVF during the manual focus zoom so I’ll ask to try and see if anybody can help. When I select the MF option, then turn the focus ring, it of course zooms into the subject so that fine...

How to prevent blown out white areas?

How does the face detection work in this situation. It's my understanding it will bias the focus and exposure towards the face detection area, is this correct.

    AutoISO on G2

Right, I have just tried this and my G2 will correctly stop at the ISO limit defined in the camera when using Auto, so I normally set this limit to 800 and this is where it stops. However, when I turn the limit OFF it consistently stops at 400 !! Turn the limit back ON and it...

Those shooting Lumix cameras in JPG - your favorite custom settings?

Ok I will try again, hopefully this will work. I was going to take the camera back as I could not get the results I wanted or was hoping for, they just didn't seem to be as sharp as my old Fuji S6500. But after a play around with the settings and comparing images in FastStone I am warming to it...

Those shooting Lumix cameras in JPG - your favorite custom settings?

I too have been fiddling with my G2 settings, I've only had it 2 weeks and so far I'm not decided. This was using Vibrant setting with 0 Contrast, +2 Sharp, +2 Sat and -2 NR. What do you think, it was taken on my kitchen table. It was fitted with a Zuiko 50mm 1.8.
