Video Problem on the G2...can't locate file(s).

Hello, Recently I took some videos from my G2 as well as some photos. They were shot in the AVCHD lite format. Well, during playback review on the camera I can see the pictures AND videos, as well as playing back the video on the camera. All seems well. Then I pop the SD card out of...

    Debating...have a G2, thinking GH1 instead. Thoughts?

Is the GH1 less compatible with the various adapters out there? I primarily use Nikon F-mount lenses when it comes to legacy lenses...so far, they have worked quite well with the G2. So far, I think I will hold on to this G2. Growing to love it, I suppose I just haven't had enough time...

Thanks for the information! Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the G2 very much myself. Guess the iso bit you gave is a point for the G2 heh.

    Debating...have a G2, thinking GH1 instead. Thoughts?

I bought the G2 about a month and a half ago...but upon joining these boards and viewing others, it does not seem like many users tout my camera. Instead, the favorite for the "baby-dslr body" style in terms of M-4/3 is the GH1. I know my G2 has the touch screen, but honestly, I haven't...

GF2 - Review and Humble Pie

Both Grant, and Soundimageplus, your replies were helpful. Thanks. I've generally just been a Manual-->choose aperture, choose SS and WB/ISO. Thus I'm still a newbie with the more intricate options to change up a picture.

GF2 - Review and Humble Pie

Would you mind discussing a case or scenario where the AF/AE lock button comes in handy? I have never really ventured to use it on my G2, but its importance seems to be heightened by reading this thread. I'm not too familiar with its use to hence my question Thanks,

what does the manual focus assist do? I have the G2 and I believe that's a feature on it as well...is that where it zooms in even into more detail so you can perform even finer focus? that brings me to my next point...with the kit lens, in manual focus mode, can i PREVENT the camera from doing...

Can we use the "newer" Nikon/Canon, etc lenses?

Thanks for all your input guys AT the moment I am fine with my basic adapter for Nikon--currently have the 50mm 1.8, 105mm (2.5 or 2.8, can't remember) and 28mm 2.8 to keep me busy

Can we use the "newer" Nikon/Canon, etc lenses?

Thanks...so most (modern) do not have a the physical aperture ring. Is this pretty much the norm with all of the newer type lenses? Or are there some glass out there that still utilize a physical aperture ring? (in terms of newer lenses)

Can we use the "newer" Nikon/Canon, etc lenses?

I read a lot about us using "legacy" lenses for our MFT cameras...question is, what about the current lenses out there for Nikon (or other brands)? Are there limitations with using such lenses or is it really just open game for our cameras as long as we have the proper adapter? Also, more...

    Fotodox or "Rainbowimaging" adapter?

Hey all, After a lot of consideration, I decided that I would hold off on the Voigt/Novo to save $$. It seems like it's easy to look down on the rainbow/fotodox AFTER trying premium pieces such as the pricier ones. Hopefully I won't run into problems with the Rainbow imaging one I ordered. I...

    Fotodox or "Rainbowimaging" adapter?

Lucky penguin and OZRAY thank you both for your input...given your guys' input, I feel compelled I suppose to pick up a more expensive adapter, although I was excited for awhile that I only had to shell out 30 bucks to use my Nikon lenses :(...I will wait a bit to buy as I just got the G2 and it...

    Fotodox or "Rainbowimaging" adapter?

Thank you for the ebay note...i have edited the link in original post. The rainbow imaging one has better reviews, but I believe the negative reviews of the fotodox is due to error on behalf of buyers. I noticed you used the word "cheapo"...do you suggest I go a different route to maximize...

    Fotodox or "Rainbowimaging" adapter?

Hello, I currently own a Lumix G2 and have some Nikkor glass I'd like to use, so thus am looking for a proper adapter. Question is, which "brand" is better? Fotodox or Rainbow Imaging? On Amazon the Fotodox is 35 bucks, whereas the Rainbow imaging is $30. Also, the Fotodox apparently has...
