    Makes perfect sense to me.

You shoot GX1, you smart and life goes on.

If the format croaks, ill, the the least cost is best cost. Still, the format is just as fine as any...and no cause to panic, right?

I went to school with a subtle dude who used to say, "I have a strange affliction. Everything I each turns to s--t." Andy B. Well, every pic I take and process ends up with so many copies in so many places, drives me nuts, so backing up alternative just drives me nuts.

    Nikon lenses on M43 bodies

Well, for one thing focal length is what it is, no matter the maker...the ? is really, for most of us, more detail. (resolution). I, for one, do not subscribe to that so much....Adams and Cartier-Bresson and a few more might be good examples.

    Nikon lenses on M43 bodies

Frankly, never noted much diff tween 135s. Had a noteable 2.5. 5 element Pentax which was nice but preferred my plain-Jane Nikkor, so sold the Pentax and its sister 1.4/50 and never regretted or missed them. They also seem to make me nervous when using them...neither were radioactive.

Durability is also important...some Zuikos fail, few Nikkor tanks fail. Just have to have mind set....having said that, I also understand it is not hard to want to try other lenses either, urge is always there.

Interesting! Although Cal's was built in the '30s during the booze hayday, Cal's had a slightly more fitting (to the bar) motto... "Eat, Drink, Get the Fuck Out!" All Cal's! Was also on tee shirts...will post pic of one I acquired one summer day, before the C-19 culling began.

Interesting,....La Crosse, WI, USA, has pop of 40 - 50K and plays in 70 or so taverns, depending on what day you count. Winona, MN, pop 26K has about 49 taverns But C-19 has closed many of them... Swill rules.

Once upon a time I tended to go to "dive bars." Did it for years... had collection of pic of dive bar bathrooms from Wisconsin, USA trips but lost it. Someone once said to me all WI bars are dive bars...not so, but many country taverns are "loose." This thread brought memories up.... will...

A Question of Use! Re OM-3 and GX1s

Hohn, Thanks...I must spend too much time looking to grab (pics) not bums, instead of doing the laptop. Looks like mostly SBC is mostly E-P3...which my daughter has...I have the GX1 and its 1.7 wide-ie...but now admit I mostly use the A6300 and the P & Shoots. Still, will suck up more SBC...

A Question of Use! Re OM-3 and GX1s

Rich, take some planning and space to use adaptions, which I why I have a PandS and the GX1 auto in the car...better to have the "grab" than worry about the "how" of it. To me. Gotta ask what is "SCP?"

A Question of Use! Re OM-3 and GX1s

If I can remember to do so, I grab the GX1 with the 1.7 widie. If not, have a Lumix Point and shoot in car, and always handy...truly pocketable, waterproof, etc. Takes surpisingly decent pics, hough I ran across a couple grabs last year and fumbled...love the E-P3 EVF best of all, though. beat...

    What is Photon noise?

E, thanks, sadly, I dumped the images. Seems I tried a with a 2.0 35 a 2.8 135 Nikkor and a 1.2 big Canon, which I sold. Full moon, bright...messing around. Thanks will try next go.

    What is Photon noise?

B, all good to me, but is the blue dot thingy an abberation I figured it was? Am dim, so a Y or N works. As to f-stops, does it matter? Am old film dodger what does not care, but f-stop is ingrained. Practice expands the perception...seems to me...as we learn more. and more.

Sony too nice to ditch...really. Focusing is so nice...and the pics, well...they do sit well. What I also suggest is that the line seems fine as it was.
