    Think tank 25i

I have the 30i and its a bit tall for my liking as well. It advertises as also being a tablet bag to go along with your camera and lenses which requires the additional height. It wasn't a huge selling feature for me, but I probably would have bought the 25i if I had the chance instead. I got the...

    Olympus 12-40 Pro to primes

Given your budget I think the only option in that range (which is also cutting it close) would be the PL25 f1.7 and the PL42.5 1.7. You might have to find a used copy of the PL 42.5mm to fit it in. The PL 25mm 1.7 is on sale in the US for $147 right now, not sure if its on sale over there. If...

OM-D E-M10 Mark ll USB Cable

That is exactly why I use the cable as well. Except it backfired last month and I bricked my 12-40mm Pro lens out of impatience with the software download. Learned a hard lesson about Olympus firmware for sure!

OM-D E-M10 Mark ll USB Cable

Oh I agree as well, but in Canada you can't seem to even buy the cable in stores so there are not a lot of options. Importing from the US is common but $20+ for a cable is a little excessive.

OM-D E-M10 Mark ll USB Cable

If you haven't bought one already they are also sold overseas on eBay for $3-5. I believe the model number is CB-USB8. I ordered one about a month ago but still waiting.

    Olympus 45mm f1.8 $US99 at B&H

Got the same email. Don't like the part that they blame the customer for not taking part in the Trade-In promotion. It was their site that didn't specify any such restriction.

    Olympus E-M1 versus E-M5 ii

Well I still plan to keep my EM10 ii for when I want to shoot with primes or the 12-32mm to keep it compact. I just feel I need a bigger body to better handle the 12-100mm which is no lightweight. Are you saying I will have no luck with the E-M1 at night for a 5-6s exposure. Or is that where...

    Olympus E-M1 versus E-M5 ii

I am having a dilemma in choosing a second body between either the E-M1 (first version) or the E-M5 ii. I've done a lot of research comparing the two models including a few head to head comparisons but I still can't completely decide. I'm going for a used body but at the moment the EM5 ii is...

    briefly tested the Sony a5100 w/ Sigma 30 2.8

I saw the same thing with the 16-70mm on the early models they released which had a ton of issues for such a high priced piece. I believe they fixed it in the later production versions, but the 18-105 G versions were much more consistent when released. They have nothing against the Oly 12-40...

    briefly tested the Sony a5100 w/ Sigma 30 2.8

The a5100 also doesn't have an EVF which is its main omission. Its also is smaller and lighter then the a6000 with a much less pronounced grip. I came to m43 from the a6000 and really enjoyed the camera itself for the most part minus the GX85 like placement of the EVF. But the main reason for...

Rethinking my lenses now that I have the 12-40 PRO

Yes I know my current lens lineup is quite perplexing lol. I recently picked up the Oly 14-150 II to replace the Panasonic 14-140 which I found to be mediocre in performance and very heavy given I don't need the OIS. I will be posting it for sale if I can't find a local buyer. I haven't been...

Rethinking my lenses now that I have the 12-40 PRO

Have you tried the updated 14-150mm II? Judging from your first post you had the first version. The newer version is generally much better reviewed. It really isn't that bad, its quite a good performer for what it is. It doesn't compare to the PRO lenses but its a great all-in-one travel lens.

    Olympus 75-300mm ii vs Panasonic 100-300mm i

Hi all, Pretty new to the site, but have been a long time mirrorless shooter (recently jumped over to M43). I just wanted to hear some peoples opinions and thoughts on the budget telephoto zoom lenses Olympus 75-300mm ii versus the Panasonic 100-300mm (version 1). I currently have the...

    Panasonic discontinuing 12-32?

I recently purchased a second hand 12-32mm and its the updated version I believe (metal mount) and its very solidly built I feel. Hopefully will be used for many years to come as a walkaround alternative to the rest of my kit.
