Walking the streets of Paris with an OM-D (a B&W tale)

awesome pictures! Paris is where street photography was born. Where was the second one taken, ill have to visit next time i'm there. are those pictures SOOC? Ive been shooting raw+jpeg recently and find that the monotone settings on the EM5 (i use B&Wy and increase contrast & sharpness) are so...

    Fuji X-T1 or Oly OM-D E-M1

speaking as an owner of an x100s & EM5 - imo the image quality of the fuji is marginally better & more noticeable at higher ISO but this is down to personal preference. IMO the difference between the XT1 & EM1 will be tiny, and you will be more than happy with the output from either. However i...

How many - and if single which - AF points do you use?

focus and recompose as i learned to shoot with a manual camera. I Should probably take advantage of the focus points especially when using some of the faster m43 glass as i have missed a couple of shots.

    Fujifilm X100s... third system

Yeah I have the x100s and em5, both are great cameras but the em5 has hardly had a look in recently although I plan to use this with longer/telephoto primes to compliment each other. The flash sync abilities of the fuji are unique, and the ooc jpegs are amazing, so much so that I'm tempted to...

The shooting experience between Olympus, Panasonic and Fujifilm

Tips for shooting Rome and Tuscany

Make sure you have a fast lens or tripod and visit the forum in Rome at night, probably one of my highlights when I was there. Be careful on public transport of pickpockets, when I was there last we walked everywhere best way to experience it IMO

X2 I usually chuck a prime in my pocket with camera+zoom on wrist or neck and I'm good to go. Best thing about m43 is how compact it is.

New E-M1-alike Fuji X-T1 on the way

looks like a v.nice camera and i love the ooc fuji jpegs. a lot would depend on the specs of the camera, as it would take a lot for me to swap systems. But on looks alone i would be lying if i said i wasn't tempted  ...

COMPLETED Brand New Olympus E-M1 + 12-40mm f/2.8 Kit | Location: Japan | Ships: WORLDWIDE

Historically with EMS i have had a quite a few orders passed through customs without getting stopped (express usually has a better chance) - however if you do get hit, from memory it would be apprx 20% VAT + any carrier handling charges. You could always call HMRC and check with them prior.

Joining MFT from FT and looking for bag recommendations

im using the think tank turnstyle at the moment for my em5, its a cross between a small backpack a sling - it easily holds the 12-50 + 25 and I could probably squeeze another small prime in there. i like it because its quick and easy to take the camera out to take pics...
