    Canadian Football (CFL)

Here's a link to my gallery from last night's CFL game in Vancouver BC. BC Lions vs Saskatchewan. Sucky game by BC, but the cheerleaders were nice  http://www.flickr.com/photos/psychosquirrel427/sets/72157636223155336/

    Showcase Panasonic Lumix G -X- 45-175 HD

All of the fireworks in this set http://www.flickr.com/photos/psychosquirrel427/sets/72157634890417829/ Were shot with the 45-175mm zoom. Nightime performance isn't its strong suit but these came out okay.

    Giving up on my G5.

If the camera doesn't work properly, take it back to the store you bought it from and get a replacement. Problem solved.

    Mendocino Sunrise

The best spot for the glass beach I found was in Fort Bragg, Ca, turn west on Elm Street then park and go straight onto glass beach trail. There was tons of it down there a few years ago, but people do steal the prettier colours. I have pictures from there, but it wasn't with a micro 4/3 cam.

Help with G5 Program mode IQ

If I were you I would have used a tripod and longer exposure (maybe 1-2 seconds) to make the waterfall all milk and smooth. Otherwise they look nice.

    Lens choice help really needed!

I really like the panasonic/leica 25mm summilux prime lens. I just bought it but it is my go to prime (50mm equivalent) lens now. I do own the 45-175mm pani, it's good, but it isn't great, I might swap it for the new 14-140mm when it becomes available. Hope this helps.

    Quality of images from G5

Glad to hear that you have a properly working G5 now. Honestly it is not a bad camera. I love it and get great pics SOOC. I hope you will enjoy using it now. For me every camera has a steep learning curve at first, then it starts to become intuitive and easier to get the photos you want to...

    Giving up on my G5.

I am very happy with my G5, no problem at all getting sharp photos. Sorry about your difficulties but maybe there is a better camera for you, that fits your tastes and works for you. The best camera is the one that gets used, so no worries if you have to dump the G5 for something else. Just...

Thought I could share this set, mostly from the public market and yummy food there. I was experimenting with my new Panasonic Leica 25mm so most of the shots are me just playing around with the DOF. Enjoy Granville Island 2013 - a set on Flickr

    Fireworks, Settings, Infinity Focus, Etc

Here's a set of mine, shot using my G5 and a 45-175mm panasonic lens (it was far away). Most were 2-3 seconds shot in manual M mode so I coul adjust f stop and exposure as needed. Use a good tripod too! Have fun with it. Fireworks 2013 - a set on Flickr

    Hi from Vancouver Canada

Hello everyone! I just bought my first micro 4/3s/mirrorless/inter changeable lens/EVIL camera or whatever you like to call it the other day. I was looking at a few of the slim size Nikons and Panasonics, but I ended up choosing the Panasonic G5 (it felt nicer in my hand and has a ton of...
