    Issue with B+W xs-pro on 12-40mm lens

    I have this same filter and had no problems either. Took a post-it note and tore a 1/4" square, put it over the center of the front element and screwed on the filter finger tight. The paper still slides around when I shake the lens.

    If shallow DOF is you want, the 45mm is the better choice, since it is both longer focal length and faster than the f/2.8 zoom. It's also cheaper than PL 25mm.

    Too niche and UWA zooms are so much more compelling. The 16-35 f/2.8 is one of the most popular Canon lenses. They also make a 14mm f/2.8 prime but it's nowhere near as useful as the zoom. There's just so much difference in FOV at short focal lengths it makes it much sense to have a zoom handy.

    Without the clip-on flash there's no way to trigger the slave flash since it's optically slaved. You could use a TTL cord but then you won't be able to attach the VF2.
