    Rangefinder Style Normal Lens

Thank for the samples Sebastian! The lens looks sharp enough to me.

    Rangefinder Style Normal Lens

The M-mount 25/4 focuses normally? Prime lenses that start wit modest apertures like f4 are usually sharp. How about this one?

Thanks sebastel. Is that the 25/4P Color-Skopar? That would make for a compact kit.

    Rangefinder Style Normal Lens

The Pany 20 is a very nice lens. It's the sharpest m4/3 I own and its minimum focus distance is great. But I also own a very good 35 for my DSLR. Guess what? I bought for it's excellent reputation but now I realize I'm more of a "50" FOV. The Pany 20 kinda feels like a "35." Primes, being...

    Rangefinder Style Normal Lens

That's pretty close to 50 and I like the speed. I would probably shoot it at 5.6/8 most of the time but how is it at f2?

    Rangefinder Style Normal Lens

Anybody try Zeiss 25mm on EP2? I've heard that legacy under 35 can have soft corners. I have the Pany 20... but I guess I'm trying for the manual focus, rangefinder zeitgeist. Any other "50" equivalent RF lenses?

Power Converter or adapter for Europe

Going to Paris and Italy this summer from the US. I will need to charge my batteries for Olympus EP2. The charger is the BCS1 and the batteries are BLS1. Do I just need a plug adapter? Or do I also need a power converter? Any recommendations?

Thank you both for the interview... Ray, do you actively focus the Voigt 28 or do you use the distance scales at f/8, f11?

    Noktor review by Philip Bloom

Well, the Noktor is cheaper and smaller than the Nokton. But please have mercy Amin. Your shots on the Pany 7-14 image thread is the reason I now own one...

    5 years from now.

willo, Canon won't go there. L lenses typically start at $1000 and go up from there. Too many people have too much moohla invested! Same for Nikon. That really leaves the door open for Oly/Pany. If the quality get even better whilw maintaining reasonable prices I definitly see a problem for the...

    Some E-P2 questions

Brian Mosley has a quick start that is very helpful setting up the camera from the menu. It gets you started so that you can learn the menu system. Then you can customize your own settings. Here's the link. http://www.ukphotosafari.org/e-p12-quick-start/ For example the fn button can be set...

Any EP2/GF1 owners also shooting G1/GH1: Point?

Thanks, Boyzo. Do you have any issues with 2 different menu systems, buttons, etc.? And do you usually take both when shooting?

Any EP2/GF1 owners also shooting G1/GH1: Point?

I have the EP2 and wondering If there is much to gain from G1/GH1? Actually if I get one it would be the G2 when it comes out. The main 2 reasons for me would be the moveable LCD screen and possibly better ergonomics for the bigger zoom lenses. Video isn't as important to me. But since there...

Countdown to G2 and G10 has started

Boyzo, I'm coming from the other end as I started with E-P2. I really, really like it. I was a little nervous getting it as I was coming from FF Canon but was very surprised! Do you use the G1 much? Reason I ask is cuz G2 looks good to me and I seem to be buying Pany lenses. Here's my thinking...

How to take pictures of the unambiguous

Djarum, I also take many images of the usual suspects like flowers... or even better, flowers with dew drops on them. Sometimes that can become even more boring then shooting the inanimate & boring. I have to remind myself, all the time, that interesting photography ultimately comes from within...

    Showcase Panasonic 45-200mm f/4-5.6

Anybody use this lens on an Oly EP-2? The range is fantastic, the image quality is good and the price is right, but I'm wondering about the handling on a cam other than G1/GH1?

    Showcase Panasonic 7-14mm f/4

To all you Pany 7-14 users: for walk around shooting at f8/11 do you even need to focus much? And do you use mostly AF or MF? Thanks to all for the image examples!

    Buying a new ep2

If I understand correctly you will either keep the 17 or the zoom? If that is the case I would keep both because you also get 14 and 42 which is wide and short tele with the 17 acting as a normal. And the zoom is so compact and light to also carry along when you need the other lengths. Either...

    Showcase Panasonic 20mm f/1.7

Besides being a sharp lens for regular shots it also focuses close AND has decent bokeh, almost as good as my Oly OM 50 1.8! I love this lens. Its a keeper.

    Critique please

F1L1P, contrast, I believe is also a decision of personal style. Some love the zone system which emphasizes smooth transitions from dark to light. I have to adjust all my BW work because I like contrasty drama. There are some art photographer who almost dismiss the midtones for a very stark...

Lenses you like to see in the future

12 f2.8 seems very doable. The Pany 14 will be here soon. But I would really like to see a 45 f1.4. Don't know if it could be made without being huge by m4/3 standards.

    Nokton 40 f1.4 on Ep-2

    Nokton 40 f1.4 on Ep-2

Need some opinions. I have an Oly OM 50 1.8 w/adapter that I'm using on my EP-2. I like the results. I'm surprised by the amount of background blur. I thought this was only possible on FF Canikons . But I want to keep my M4/3 kit as small and light as possible. I will mainly use it for...

Hello All. I am a new M4/3 (EP-2) owner and I'm excited by its potential. I been shooting since buying my first film camera in 1980. I still have that camera sitting in a display shelf and have had the pleasure of using its 30 year old lens on my "new" Olympus. I also shoot full frame Canon am...
