    If it helps, I've sent my lens back and I will gladly start using it the second I get it (or a new one) back. There is no way my lens should have ever broken (inside the bag, with no know drop, sitting in the back of my car). And, I know that if it happens again, I'll go through the process...

    Good advice. I agree with perhaps tailoring the language in certain circumstances. However, I did not drop mine, so no tailoring is needed. It's just worrisome to me because I have treated a camera bad on occasion - but not this one and not this lens. Both the body and lens were brand new...
