Went wandering around a swamp on the weekend.
IR modified Oly EPM1 + m.zuiko 9-18.
Just in case you are interested - In PP, I added some IR film-ish flare to soften it a bit, plus some tonemapping to maintain detail
This series is called "Dance of the haunted trees"
I ended up sending it off to the Olympus service centre. I'd have to check the paperwork but cost me about mid $200's I think. They did return it with the part they replaced in the bag - part of the zoom mechanism. If I get time I'll see if I can find the paperwork.
First time the lens stopped talking to the camera. Still not sure what caused it. I do get water on it from time to time.
Second time I tripped up some stairs on a hillside and the front edge hit the ground while extended. Retracted rather roughly, but then wouldn't open again. Luckily all glass...
Yes the southern end has been burning rather badly in parts. Up here in the north east, we've had rain and flooding in some places...and expecting the first cyclone of the season to appear soon. One extreme to another :)

I've just made my first foray into the IR world. - recently bought a converted EPM1. It has been IR converted with a 720nm filter.
Unfortunately it arrived from the US broken - screen was smashed. :eek: It had been opened for customs inspection... so I...

ok, It was perhaps more luck than skill at that aperture .
The birds were fighting over some discarded cake not far from us, so I focused either at the cake or just behind, in the direction they were flying in and out.
I have had a lot of manual focus...
I finally dragged myself out of bed for a sunrise shoot for the first time this year...and it was a nice one.
First shoot since my Oly 9-18mm came back from repair (it had the dreaded "check the status of a lens" error message)
Bought it a while ago so it was an out of warranty repair. Olympus...
