Panasonic Lumix 20mm f1.7 w/ HOYA UV filter
For sale is the highly coveted Panasonic Lumix 20mm F1.7, the lens that got me into Micro-Four-Thirds. I am the original...
Have not been on these forums for awhile, but logged on to say how much i love these shots. Some of them should be box cover art.
As a former builder, i have random torsos, wings, translucent swords, and dried gundam pens mixed up somewhere in a box with a bunch of Macross varitech fighters.
Get olympus to develope lenses for you, then you cripple the MFT line by simply halting sensor developement. Securing n.e.x. Supremacy! Glass is glass.
I smell your evil plans...Sony...skynet. I still loathe and distrust you. Curse my mini-disc player and the piles of worthless memory sticks in...
Appropriately marking the "death" of the OM series.
Here's just my own breakdown:
E-M - "Electronic Maitani (original OM designer)" aka OM-D "Olympus Maitani Digital"
E-P - "Electronic Pen" (standard)
E-PL - "Electronic Pen-Light"
E-PM - "Electronic Pen-Mini"...

Since 2010 here and not a shred of marketing outside of the internet.
This use to be a little irritating because I encountered so many psuedo-photographers regurgitating MFT limitations to the average consumer. There wasn't enough reference material to justify the new format.
^ I have a similar case, so it made the grip option moot. Feels pretty comfortable given the added vertical real estate.
It's reinforced inside with some kind of aluminum or metal plating so it might take the shock from a low-level drop.
+1 on WT21's sentiments.
The GH2 is a great camera and I still admire it, but it doesn't quite have the "consumer halo-effect" that the EM-5, or any high-end OLY camera, has on Micro-Four-Thirds.
I can count a few acquaintances who bought PENS and even GF's because of the piqued interest...
Very nice milkshake. I remember locking my trem from the back with zipties.
I've moved on to les pauls and strats, but if i wake up one day blessed with sach or vai's hands, i wouldn't hesitate to pick up a JS or JEM.
Good gawd...thats looks like a $10k plus yard sale!
The om-4 had a similar om-winder grip. We used it mostly during long shoots and or attached to large zoom lenses. The om was pretty uncomfortable without the grip, but it sat around my neck and i got over it.
Eventually aftermarket parties like Bessa made a more practical grip, no winders...
Call me crazy, but I like my cameras to look like: "I'm an old POS: Please don't steal me".
I may paint fake oxidation stains on the silver, or go at a black one with silver flake paint around the edges. Best of both worlds.
I could narrow down your geography from just reading those mods.
(Spent some time on NASIOC/ and underneath blob-eyed 'rexes)
Stunning color. Did you test-drive the hatch before going sedan? What were your thoughts?
The EM-5 is ridiculously compact for what it is. Much more revealing with these user shots than the projected comparisons that are floating around the web.
It just comes to show how pronounced lines can really exxagerate the size of a camera. It almost makes the GX1 and EP3 looks like bricks.
LoL@ captains log...
Once the EP-3 is fired up, that capcitative touch screen is like "weapons hot" and it's definitely a joy to shoot with.
But I also agree, the camera leans to form over function. It comes with the retro design. My hand cramps up a bit when holding it too long so I...
Same here. I'm pretty patient. Out of sight and out of mind until I click on the tracking number and:
"Arrived at CA headquarters, in route to destination"
*violently braces computer monitor*
"FedEX, UPS, FedUp, PLEEEEEASE...don't F this up!"
