    Hybrid duck ???

I reckon he's wrong. Mandarin ducks are all over England, and all the hybrid shots i've seen show strong mandarin traits - definitely dominant over the other species. There is no mandarin duck in that bird. Here's the male common shelduck x wood duck image from the link in post #15 ... i't the...

    Hybrid duck ???

Mallard x wood duck hyrids wont have a red bill and would be quite different to that individual. I reckon it's a common shelduck x wood duck, i'd put money on it. The perceived mallard influence is the common shelduck.

Couple of rare ones. The Dallas Dhu was distilled a year before the distillery closed. A poor decision and likely an economic one as the juice is amazing - a 28 year old. The 40 year old Special Speyside will be a Glenfarclas. Shot with a Porst 50mm (Fujinon) Rare Dallas Dhu Aged 28 Years by...

Rare bird for the UK, Great White Egret. Very flighty, even viewing from 100 yards it's noticeably nervy and looks to take off. I was lucky to get this cropped shot, handheld at about 60 yds. Great White Egret by Pete O'Sullivan, on Flickr

40-150 Pro: Whats the issue with this photo?

It's not Saturn. You would need 25x magnification to see the planet as an ellipsoid (angle of rings is 27º) and 50x at least for viewing the rings, more like 125x for a good view. I don't think it's Jupiter either, i cant see the exif but it looks too large for a planet disk and i have no idea...

That is so cool. I've been waiting for that stuff to get up here for too long. I can get the 43% sour mash (quite nice) for an ouch price but i want that^. And the Rye Of The Tiger. So jealous i just poured a 32yo Banff sample in an attempt to get over it. :drinks:

Are you referring to the William Larue Weller BTAC? I have a couple in the stash from previous years as they are now only possible to get in the UK on pre-order, and pricey. If yes, then fill your boots, the Weller btac is American magic.

They are commonly called 'neck collars' (in the UK) and are used with swimming birds, as leg rings cannot easily be seen, typically ducks and geese. With geese there are no feeding issues as they are grazers and eat grass and greens. They are made from expandable plastic. @deepaqua
