I used the software. But I really don't see how a too-bright monitor would affect only .orf files and not .nsf files. If that were the case then one would have to calibrate the monitor each time one switched file types - and how would the software know that one was printing a different file...

Thanks - I'm familiar with the "too bright" monitor syndrome. (And plead guilty to same in the past. Now, however, I think I've gotten that part of the printing process resolved). I've pretty much dimmed the monitor, made certain no bright lights were behind it in my field of vision and used...

Harvey, nice job with the Auto Cad! I wouldn't say "never" would the scratch impact the photos - light might reflect off of the scratch and then bounce into the field. However since Amex will cover the repair costs I'd go ahead and send it in. Replacing a front element is something the...

Ray, if you've taken multiple cards - do you put each into the camera and download it in turn? Hi Ian! I do. My computers have built in card readers so it's no trudge to download the photos. I think I get a faster download than using the cable/camera but I've never timed it (I shoot so few photos it's a moot point anyway). Early on in my digital days (Nikon D70S) it was recommended...
