I spent the better part of 4 years shooting micro four thirds heavily (I shot with a GR and the Sony RX1 in that time too) and have in the last 4 months given FF a try with the D610.
I don't shoot zooms so I can't be of much help there, for my tastes the zooms, especially the f2.8 zooms would...
At a friends 40th birthday celebration.
Homemade 'Rakija' shots with a subtle walnut and honey infusion. Don't be fooled by the sweet aromatic ingredients, these have bite and if you're not careful you'll be waking up Saturday mid-afternoon with a very embarrassed wife ;)
Rakija - Croatian...

It'll take some time to get acclimatized to things but I'm sure you've done your research Amin and I'm looking forward to smoother and speedier site performance....also really looking forward to the darker skin, I think dark grey/black works great for image viewing.
The only reason anyone would take a phot of me surfing would be for an instructional 'how not to...' book :)
I used the the OIS when shooting the 100-300. Even though the IBIS of the GX7 is pretty decent (2 stops give or take) the OIS of the 100-300 at the long end is...
Cheers David....the first 2 shots are just wonderful, any young family with a good photographer in the house is blessed.....but its the second last shot however that really demonstrates the Nocticrons ability to deliver something that most m43 lenses cannot, and that is full body shots with...
Thanks everyone....yeah I really like the two b+w surf shots as well, I tried the mono treatment on a few of the shots but it worked best for those two and they are both on my shortlist of images to print.
Thanks Ken, many were handheld but I did also use a monopod on occasion, I don't recall...
I've posted a handfull of these up already in various threads, done and dusted with the post processing of the whole set so here they are.
Spent the summer holidays on the Gold Coast with family and friends, Coolangatta to be precise...this was my first time back since 2005 when I spent...
Absolutely true, I love using mine too.
The LX100 is a really well rounded and capable compact and although it may not be 'perfect', it is an exceptional camera for its combination of things it does really really well.
Great work mate...and welcome to the forum.
With regards to being heavy handed with the post processing, I find it helpful to sometimes walk away from an image if I've been staring at it for too long, my eyes I've found can become desensitized so to speak and what looked like a really natural...
Excellent. Great advertisement for a really gorgeous part of the world. Love the second shot in particular, like a little slice of paradise!
We went up north to Queensland as well to Coolangatta...a lot less idyllic but a big coastal town suited our large kid heavy group a lot better...
As far as I'm personally concerned, $5 or so isn't too much to ask for a product that I'm interesting in and may find useful but don't have neither the time, the patience nor the skills to develop myself.
Some want to shoot m43, others FF, some consider APSC to be an ideal 'middle ground' of sorts, there are even those who feel the need for an even smaller ILC system and find the Nikon 1" system a better fit, also we have the bridge/supezoom crowd...and of course, there are a very large number of...
