Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III Released

I went into Manchester U.K. today, to have a look at the 5mk111, and 1mk111. No, not acailable. The Olympus rep was supposed to be at LCE with the bodies and the 12-40. No show. Maybe tomorrow. Then on to Jessops where the store has cleared out nearly everything Lumix. None!

    PL 8-18 or three primes?

I would really like to own a Laowa 7.5mm. But I have to make do with my P7-14mm. I would also like an O 75mm, but I get by.

    GX9

I would not buy the GX 9, not enough improvement over my GX80 which I really enjoy. I felt that the G9 was great, but big, then I tried the S1. That is BIG. What improvements would I like. Weather proof, a joystick, keep the tilt screen format or add the S1’s portrait tilt. A better processor...

    A telephoto dilemma

I bought my daughter an FZ82, after setting one up for a friend. The next day, I bought a second one for myself. If there is light, it takes good photos. If it gets damaged/stolen/breaks/get lost, not to worry. It is now my holiday camera. Too much trouble carrying my GX80 and a selection of lenses.

    Advice on a GX80

What lenses, depends on what you take. My favourite zoom is theP14-140mm f3.5-5.6. It is my holiday lens along with the PL15mm f1.7. But the options are almost endless.

    Advice on a GX80

I own and use this model. It is my main camera. Very versatile, great quality, a wealth of lenses to put on the front. however, if I was buying a replacement a month ago, it could have been a GX9 or a G90. Now, new G9 bodies are becoming scarce. But no new model has been mentioned. Also a new...

Which lens to replace my PL 12-32 f/3.5-5.6 on a Panasonic body ?

As 12-32mm is quite a wide range. How about the PL12-60mm, faster at the wider end and longer. Still got everything covered in just one lens.

    What prime(s) to add? 7.5, 15, 25, 56, 75... etc

It would be nice if the forthcoming GX10 came with a mk.III 20mm that was small and would focus fast.

    What prime(s) to add? 7.5, 15, 25, 56, 75... etc

I have the PL15mm. A great lens. My P25 is underused. The P42.5 is really good, plus the O60mm, not just for macro, but a good portrait lens as well as a medium telephoto. There are 12,14,16, 17 and 45mm lenses to consider.

    Rumoured Panasonic GX10

I am really eager to see what this new model has and can do. The G9 was a different camera from previous models, despite having the G prefix. Maybe the GX10 will be a groundbreaker also.

    Balancing expenditure between hobbies......

Cycling, walking, target archery, woodworking and photography are my hobbies. There is no balance. I just research, look at and either buy or not buy what I think I need. No problem. The moon shots are taken with my FZ82. JPEG on iA, maxed out to 2400mm.
