    ultra-wide non fisheye lenses

Rokinon makes one. a 10mm 2.8. I little more expensive than you'd like, but I hear it's very good. I have the 7.5mm fish eye lens and I love it. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1039937-REG/rokinon_10m_mft_10mm_f_2_8_ed_as.html

    Developing film

Color or black and white? It it's black and white, any good camera store should be able to set you up. You will need a film tank and reels, chemicals: Developer, stop bath and fixer. You'll probably want a drying agent and some clips to hang the film from while it dries. You'll need a light...

    Nikon 300mm f4.5 EDIF help

Thanks for the reply. Great images. The Nikon EDIF is the moral equivalent to the "L" series form Canon. EDIF lenses are designed to be shot wide open like the 2.8 lenses. There is a Nikon 300 F4.5 that is not EDIF and it shows. I'll look into the 400mm. That's a great focal length for wild...

    Nikon 300mm f4.5 EDIF help

I bought a nice condition Nikon 300 F4.5 EDIF lens to use for wildlife photography. The lens has a great reputation and EDIF lenses are designed to be shot at the widest aperture. Last week I took it to Yellowstone. While the results were OK, they weren't stellar as I was expecting...

    New to M4/3s... OM-D, EP-5, or wait?

I love the form factor of the PENs, but if you really want weather sealed, go for the OM-D and pair it with the Panasonic 12-35 F2.8. It's also weather sealed. This is probably the best walk around kit I've ever used. The 12-35 is a constant 2.8 and is a stellar performer. I took this kit...

    Showcase Nikon 300mm f/4.5 ED-IF AI-s (manual)

I have the same lens, I even had a brand new one some 20 years ago. The IF (Internal Focus) on this lens does feel loose. I've never handled one that didn't feel this way. I think it is by design so it can focus faster than the standard 300mm Nikkor 4.5 that had a very tight focus ring. It...

    12-35mm disappointment?

weather sealed I am very happy with the 12-35. I just ordered the companion 35-100 2.8 as well. These lenses are weather sealed. I don't know if the 14-45 is or not, I suspect it isn't. You don't mention the camera you're using. Mine is paired with the Olympus OM-D. This makes for a...

Is it true that the Panasonic 12-35/2.8 & 35-100/2.8 don't works as well on a OM-D

The CA correction only applies to jpg's. If you shoot RAW there is no difference. I use the 12-35 2.8 on my OMD about 80% of the time.

    Sigma on m4/3

Focus speed will always be a casualty when using adapters, at least for the time being. If focus speed is critical with the OM-D, I recommend getting the Olympus 45mm 1.8. Stellar leans and native m4/3. Or kick it old school and go to manual focus! We did photograph children before...

    Best 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-lens kits for your Micro 4/3?

With my OM-D 1 lens - Panasonic 12-35mm 2.8. No brainer, best walk around lens ever. Just spent a week in NYC and it was on the camera 90% of the time. 2 lens - Panasonic 12-35mm 2.8 and the Panasonic Leica 25mm 1.4. For when you need a really fast lens. 3 lens - Panasonic 12-35mm 2.8...

    LR Photo books are great!

Did you compare LR to Aperture? I don't consider iPhoto a professional level image/workflow management tool. Aperture has worked well for me and performs better than Lightroom in several areas, particularly with large libraries.

and the winner is . . . First the honorable mentions: goldenlight - Great image full of color and nice depth. Only critique is it's a bit too much of a snapshot, not a bad thing, but no real focal point of peak moment. I like the image a lot! sac I'm not usually a fan of selective...
