    Panasonic GM1? Sounds interesting...

I am no marketing genius, but this to me would be a fantastic step from Panasonic. It would be a very smart way to get to the very top, instantly in that segment.

    EM-1 versus the Canon 5DIII

Since I shoot pretty much nothing but landscape, I would love to switch to FF. I don't think there is a replacement for displacement (larger sensor) Beyond that, who is taking the shot and skills with PP is what separates a shot from a fantastic shot. People can argue all they want, I simply...

    Smith Rock Oregon

Thanks hazwing - The weather wasn't cooperating and everything looked flat to me so I played around. The sky was way too light with very little blue. I can't worry about what other people may think. I am still very new at this and still experimenting. Thank you so much for commenting! #2 is...

    Seller backed out

Good luck, bad luck, who knows? Sometimes we should let the universe make decisions for us and we need to just roll with it.

    Sell Olympus 17mm/1.8 and 12-50mm for 12-40mm/2.8?

You are right and of course our recommendations are more miss then hit because it really depends on what one shoots. I do landscape and for me a zoom makes more sense.

    That terrible 45-200 Panasonic lens

Whether you name the photographer or not, he still took the picture, so yes it is. Plus I was talking about the lens - the lens that many put down as not worthy. Yes he deserves all the credit.

    Sell Olympus 17mm/1.8 and 12-50mm for 12-40mm/2.8?

If I tried to zoom with my feet, I'd have fallen off cliffs a long time ago. I say get the zoom.

I said it was from fm - how else can I post it here? I didn't think it was a big deal, since the picture was a compliment. Didn't mean to do illegal stuff.

    12-35 Panasonic or 12-40 Olympus

I only wish I had the 12-35, but if I were you, I'd wait until there are some reviews out there to make sure that you really would benefit from the switch. I feel it is a win win situation.

    A not so subtle reminder

You are just nitpicking here, I guess some of us have too much time on our hands. If you were to read the initial reviews, Olympus claims: water- and dust-proof, in addition to being freeze-proof down to -10C. Maybe you need even more info whether the EM-1 is indeed built to "PRO" specs...
