I'm also a great fan of this camera. I use it as a take anywhere camera and when I Travel, also a a 2nd camera to my Olympus OMD M1 mark ii. I have an Olympus 9-18mm and 14-150mm which work well with it.
You need to set your shutter speed at 50th for 25fps (double frame rate) and use ISO or aperture to adjust exposure as you mentioned.
If you want your motion blur to look normal, you should take your frame rate and double it.

I only know about the straight adapter (no glass), and the Turbo lens which increases FOV (50mm to 35mm roughly), and increases aperture by 1 stop.
Are we now onto some other adapter?
I can't help with used options in the US but I'm sure you could find something used and reliable. It is easy to add extra storage via an external drive (thunderbolt or USB ) connection.
