    Video editing workflow/software

Thank you for your replies. I'm having some luck with Windows Live Movie Maker. It allows me to trim and even adjust the brightness a bit. It converts to WMV but the video looks like it's shrunken down in size when viewed in fullscreen. I'm going to keep experimenting with converters and...

    Video editing workflow/software

Now that I've got some good HD video files from my GF3 I'd like to start to work with them. What software is everyone here using and can someone share their general workflow with MTS/AVCHD files? (e.g. do people generally keep the files in this format or convert to something else?) I'm new to...

    GF3 Autofocus noise video

Thanks for the feedback. I tried again after adjusting the mic sensitivity and that seems to have helped a bit. I can still hear the lens zooming but the autofocus sounds are much more controlled.

    GF3 Autofocus noise video

Is it normal to hear autofocus noise during video recording with this camera? I was a bit surprised to hear noise while autofocusing and zooming with the 14-42 PZ lens, especially since reviews were making the operation seem "silent". I don't notice it while filming unless I've got my ear...

Thanks for the responses. Yes, I would love to have a GH2--do you remember which store had that pricing? I'm in Canada as well. I hadn't considered the possibility of a GF2 with 14-140...that seems appealing due to the EVF and external flash....it would also give me some decent...

G3 vs GF3/GF5 for shooting kids

Thanks for the responses so far...I would have loved to get the GH2, especially seeing some of the professional-quality videos around the net made with it...but it's far too expensive at over $1000 for the kit. I'm probably going to end up with a GF3...I found a deal on one locally with the...

G3 vs GF3/GF5 for shooting kids

Hi Mu43, I came across the Panasonic G line upon researching a good camcorder replacement to help me take better video of my little kids. I've narrowed things down to ether the G3 or GF3/GF5 with the standard 14-42 kit lens for the zoom. I'm leaning slightly toward G3 since I'm putting a...
