Any experience with a Wolverine Snap 14 scanner?

No Pixel Peeping! This was made by yours truly in 1970 using a Kodak Instamatic camera with 126 slide film. It is the part of the Kilauea Caldera on the island of Hawaii. I was 12 at the time. Certainly won't win any prizes, but the scanner is more than adequate. I have yet to scan any negatives.

I have both BOB and Pacific on DVD, could easily re-watch both! A bike is definitely in the playbook. I don't know that I have the discipline to sit on a bike indoors when the weather warms. Another one I forgot all about. We watched "Turn" when is was on TV, but missed the last season. And...

Am very familiar with it. Keto diets are not recommended for diabetics without physician-monitoring of ketones. Ketoacidosis is dangerous. Diets come and go, and the quickest way to failure is going with an extreme. Smooth and steady weight loss is the goal, not a sprint, a marathon. The goals...

The Dietician said to stay on 200gms carbs/day and exercise for 150 minutes/week and I'd lose 1-2 lbs. per week. I rarely hit 200, usually around 150-175, and I exercise over 200 minutes/week. It's easy with the bike and TV. I have started eating a light breakfast which something I haven't done...

I did see Godless, forgot I had. Great series. Not a fan of Breaking and Saul, and Stranger Things lost me. I was wondering about Dracula, looked interesting. I'll look into that, Outlander, Altered Carbon and the two Moonraker suggested. The old Military Channel used to run WWII in Color...

Just found out I have new-onset diabetes. Part of my routine is now exercise (go figure). I bought a stationary bike that also has upper body apparatus and plant myself in front of the TV with the intent of pedaling my butt off. Literally. I'm down 8 lbs. in about a month. Yay me! While...

I don't like Type 1 at all. It's too dark and the colors look oversaturated. The rock wall in the background loses a lot of dynamic range or something, and I'm not even commenting on the motion part. I prefer the original. Type 2 on the other hand is extraordinary. Looks very natural and fixes...

Well, I hit a brick wall with converting them. I've tried everything I can think of. Ultimately had a good screen using the matte side of poster board. For that matter the little converter worked very well for a screen. What I can't overcome are the black bars. I get it adjusted and it changes...

#1. I like the old broken windmill in the shot. The color on the front of the barn in #3 is cool too. I see so many old swayback barns around here. I'm in farm country and the fields have either gone feral or been taken over by commercial farming. The result is a lot of unused barns left to decay.

Any experience with a Wolverine Snap 14 scanner?

Not too bad. For $20 I'm happy. The previous owner kept it pristine, never even removed the protective cover from the screens. Everything was in it's original packing, looked like it was never used. This photo was found in a drawer when we cleaned out Dad's house after he passed. It's my...

Not for all. I wear progessive lenses, each distance has it's own focus. Think of them as trifocals without the lines. And some of the things I shoot like drag racing and air shows don't provide that much time. The EVF on my G9 (and G7, for that matter) are both perfectly fine. I'd like to try...

I messed with the speed setting last night some. I got close with the fastest setting, of course it looked exactly that way. Thanks. So, is the dislike a product of the X9 being an 'upgrade' to the X8 (even though it really isn't), and it feels like a step backwards? My local shop carries neither. I've never tried the X9 or the X85, but I'm confused on this EVF issue. If you ask people how they feel about the X85, they love it. Wonderful camera, takes excellent photos. The viewfinder rarely comes up, if at all. Ask people about the X9 and they complain about the EVF. Reviews say they are...

There's an awful lot of information packed in that one sentence. Reading between the lines, you aren't completely happy with either, and spend time looking at the greener grass over the fence. G9 Slow startup and image review times ?

Yeah, I'm just trying not to spend money on it. The only time I have that many photos is after a trip to the dragstrip or an airshow, so 6 or 7 times a year. Other than that 50 is normal.
