A lot... This is a beauty shot. Not your usual portrait. Most beauty shots you see in the market in magazines have heavy pp on them. Not all my portraits are treated as beauty shots.
Thank you for your wonderful comments. I truly appriciate taking the time and commenting.
Finally my Lumix 45mm f/2.8 Leica glass has arrived.
Today I did a fast test snap shot with available light of my dad's portrait with it in our livingroom.
Hand held, 1/15 shutter, f/2.8 ISO 160... This is just a re-sized un-edited RAW file saved as jpg...
Amazing lens. It has...
Elena is now married with a baby boy. In other words a young mama. She is Italian. She worked as a model in the past. Manly in Japan.
2 years ago she was in my studio. Hired me to feel good about herself. I guess some ex models can go through such ordeal after becoming a stay at home mom...
Halloween has come and gone. This is an old image from my archives. Shot with G1 and 14-45mm Lumix lens.
I had shot the location. Than photographed my subject in front of a black paper background. I had the intention to create a collage one day.
I ended up with this.
He is carring his...
I just ordered the Lumix 45mm 2.8 macro lens. I tested it, it is darn sharp. When I receive the actual lens I'll put it into a test. My preffered store is B&H off course. :)
I'll shoot some portraits with it. And share it here.
I feel like a little girl waiting for the package to arrive...
I shot my hubby's photo with a 0.9 ND filter on tripod.
The Moon Over Sunset was shot during our return to home. We stoped at a farm to buy a large bag of carrots. This was the scene across the busy country road. Hand held as composed.
I will start posting here my landscape series.
The first in the series were shot yesterday with Lumix Gh2 Lumix 14-140mm lens. Natural density filter to slow down the shutter, on carbon tripod.
Have fun looking at them. I enjoyed shooting them.
Eloise again... Do you want to know how the background was shot:

Note: I took away this actual image from the Forum here. I realised it showed a nipple. Sorry.
After a long break, I am back posting.
The background was shot with Lumix GH2 last Friday.
The girl was shot in 2007 with a Canon 10D.
The blog post about it is at:

My Photo Ramblings: One Doorframe, One Hat, Many Moods...by Montreal Glamour Photographer Hera Bell
I learn a lesson long ago.
Shoot always each shot if you can horizontal and vertical. On the vertical shots leave enough space for a magazine title. In this case if I want a print of this imag I'll crop 2" from the top, to turn it tont a 8"x10" or 11"x14" or 16"x20" print.
But this might...
@ pjcard, Thank you for sharing your story. You can't be shy as a wedding shooter, but I also pay attention not to take the center stage at an event like this. It is a very fine delicate line we walk on to.
My Photo Ramblings: Being A Montreal Wedding Photographer
I had to share it. Some stories are too good to be true. But this one is.
And this was the shot that made her call me:
Have great evening.

Actually when I go for a session at someone's home, I go there with open mind and eyes. I want to capture things between individuals that are real. Not carbon copy of other photographer's photos to emulate.
We never invent things as composition. But I have seen many photographers who fallow a...
Ok I will post an un-edited version as it came out of the GH2 with a Lumix flash pointed towards a white sealing.
You will see how it was composed, un-cut, without editing. Just re-sized and signature added in PS.
There was a huge skin tone discrepency between the mother and the baby...
I just posted a Blog regarding a recent photo that I have shot, which caused a stirr. If you are curious I invite you to go and read it and see some other photos from the newborn shoot I did last Sunday..

Here is a self portrait shot the same day I shot the image above.
Someone's garbage can always become someone else's found treasure.
My Photo Ramblings: My ODE To Censorship
The blog boldly tells it all. Happy surfing. The image was actually shot as is in camera. No cropping, full composition. A moment captured is a moment not lost.
Richard, funny you say this. I end up in photos at people's Facebook pages, and whtever else they spread around on the net. I sometimes come across these images of me by pure chance.
PS: I never put anything anywhere unless I have signed papers. You never know who goes after who...
Very interesting stories.
I ran into soo many people from their guests with great cameras and lenses, it is unbelivable.
I have no problem with guest trying to shoot what I compose for. At this point, I am well paid, who cares. I will edit better. So I have no insecurity in that...
