    Em1 or G80?

Thanks for your reply. Infact I must consider using my two 4/3 lenses: 14-54 and 11-22 but also consider buying something new. I must also consider that I already have a first system. maybe the more logical solution is EM1 with some residual warranty (I will buy used). I also do not make video...

    Em1 or G80?

I have the same problem with em-5. That is why the choice is em1 vs g80

I agree with the Pen but don'the like the former factor.

    Em1 or G80?

Happy Crista to all. It's Christmas so time for a buy. I'll make it short. Time ago I wanted to get an EM1 but waited to see Panasonic new cameras. In the meantime got a Sony A7II. Now I want a m4/3 camera and I'M undecided by the EM1 and G80. I have a couple of 4/3 lenses and will buy a couple...

Is EM-1 still a good buy?

To be honest my first love was FF ex equo with m4/3. Some of the best pictures I took were with my D700 which I sold be a use too heavy. Still regretting it so my goal (but wallet says no) is m4/3 and light FF but not Sony because lenses are too expensive and I'm afraid not to bond with it...

Is EM-1 still a good buy?

It happened with my old Nikon: newer version came out and it stopped working. Jealousy? Anger? Hate? Who knows?:confused-53: These electronic machines seem to have their own life.:eek-31:
  16. E

Is EM-1 still a good buy?

First I must verify if they keep working. You know I'm very prudent as you state. Then I will let you know, but after a while because I must be sure they still work.

Is EM-1 still a good buy?

That's why I'm waiting the release of the EM1 mk2: to see if it still works.

Is EM-1 still a good buy?

Thanks. I'm looking for a good deal in the used market but here in Milano they are still too expensive.

Is EM-1 still a good buy?

It seems that the em1 is a best all-rounder
  22. E

Is EM-1 still a good buy?

I'll give the Pen another look. How does its af behave with adapted lenses? I mean mostly 4/3 lenses like 14/54II and 50-200.
  23. E

Is EM-1 still a good buy?

That's the reason I left Nikon, fantastic cameras for me but way too heavy.
  24. E

Is EM-1 still a good buy?

I don't like the Pen F so I don't want to make the same mistake I did with Sony: buy something I don't bond with.
  25. E

Is EM-1 still a good buy?

I have a Sony A6000 (for the third time a Sony camera) but like with all the previous cameras I really can't bond with it. Not to say there is something wrong with the camera but its question of personal feeling I suppose. I also owned a very capable Olympus system and sold it for a Nikon which...

    14-35 question

Hi all. I have the 4/3 14-54 and have the hance to get the 4/3 top pro 14-35 for 800 euro. Has anyone used it on Olympus bodies like em1 and can tell me how af works? Is it worth buying it if I already have the 14-54 iq wise? Would the iq be the same or much better on the 14-35? Any feedback...

Thanks to all of you. How is SOOC jpeg rendering? I don't post process.

Is EM-1 still a good buy?

Yes I already have the adapter.
  32. E

Is EM-1 still a good buy?

Thank you for your replys. Well I think the reason I cannot bond with other cameras is something very subtle and subjective; I'm a jpeg shooter and I find Oly's jpeg SOOC is perfect for me. The only other camera that suits my taste is Nikon (I had D700 and D7100) but too heavy for me now that...

Is EM-1 still a good buy?

Hi all, its been a long time since I posted here but now I'm coming back. My question is simple; is the EM1 still agood buy for general photography? I now own a Sony A6000 and it is not my first Sony mirrorless but I never really bond with Sony cameras, don't ask me why I don't know but I cannot...

    50-200 SWD vs. regular 50-200 on EM1

Used the 50-200 on E-P3 - EM1 and Epl-5 and all I can say is that it is an awesome lens. Never had problems with AF.

Replacement for Sony RX100: Olympus or Panasonic?

Agree. I already used the NX systwn with the NX1100: not bad but I prefer m4/3.
  38. E

Replacement for Sony RX100: Olympus or Panasonic?

From what I read I argue it should handle more like a point and shoot, isn't it?
  39. E

Replacement for Sony RX100: Olympus or Panasonic?

Yes. Saw it but it doesn't 'bond' with me. New years gas attack. Always wanted to try a Canon but never did so now I can justify it telling me that ots 'pocketable'. I love G.A.S.!
  40. E

Replacement for Sony RX100: Olympus or Panasonic?

Cheapest way to try a Canon:biggrin:
  41. E

Replacement for Sony RX100: Olympus or Panasonic?

I agree but as stated I don't want fixed lens camera. Its only subjective.
  42. E

Replacement for Sony RX100: Olympus or Panasonic?

I know that it might seen confusing but I just don't like fixed lens cameras without regards to iq. The Sony RX100 is great but I prefer intercheangeble lens camera even if I have a little bit more bulk. Price wise in Italy the GM1 is far too pricey for my needs because I'm already a happy owner...
  43. E

Replacement for Sony RX100: Olympus or Panasonic?

I was also thinking about the GM1 but here the price is still high. I was thinking about getting the 12-32 to put on my E-P5 and get a 'portable' camera but it costs half the price of the GM1 kit so I'm waiting for price drops. Maybe it will drop because the GM5 is out.

It's also slow on my E-P5 but very cheap and great bang for buck so I love it.

I also have this lens and enjoy it very much even with it's limitations.

Replacement for Sony RX100: Olympus or Panasonic?

Thanks. I have the E-P5 so I'm I'm ok with 'small' bodies. I'm thinking about selling my RX100 and then find how much money I must put to buy a GM5. It will be my third body - the second is a Nikon D7100 - and must be very carefull because my wife is on ambush:biggrin:

Replacement for Sony RX100: Olympus or Panasonic?

Thanks for your suggestions. Price is my main concern. I don't really want to spend that much for a camera I'd use sporadically. Luckily I have a very good lens collection for m4/3 including 45mm and 17mm and adapters for nearly all lenses because I own many legacy lenses.
