Taken with my EPL-1 and the adapted M. Zuiko 40-150mm.
We came across this big male in Tarangire National Park in Tanzania. He was standing there next to the remains of what I presume was a family member. I have read in the past that elephants have been known to mourn the dead by visiting their remains.
We slowly drove by, and this male more or less stood his ground, but backed away slightly from us while facing us and sticking out his ears. This was shot at 40mm - he was maybe 20 ft. away.
