Assuming the 150 Macro, 40-150 and 50-200?

Obviously the 40-150 is a lot smaller than the 50-200
The 50-200 has more reach and faster aperture than the 40-150
and neither of them can do macro.

So I don't see a problem with those 3. What else are you looking at?

Yes Tk. Those are the three.

The other two are the 40-150 Pro and the 150,f2. The latter would only be if I stumbled into one for very cheap.

When Pany announces the 100-400 zoom that one might make the list if it performs well, but that isn't for the 150FL so maybe it doesn't count.

The 40-150mm Pro makes sense if it is to replace the 50-200 for a little bit faster AF, but otherwise it isn't going to be adding much to the kit. It's not even any smaller and only a little bit lighter than the 50-200.

Everybody wants the 150mm f2.0! :)

Yes it would be just for the faster, more reliable AF. The 50-200 would stay for its reach and use with the TCs, at least until the 300 and 100-400 appear and their performance understood.

Caveat here...all of these lenses are capable of more than I am. My time is short and I just want the satisfaction of knowing that when I'm presented with an uncommon shot, I get the max from the opportunity. I have had the 40-150r with me a few times and it was just too slow for the exposure situation. Likewise the 50-200 just missed focus or a shot due to focus. Doesn't amount to a lot of missed shots, but when shooting moving, unpredictable objects in the hour or two I get in a month every little bit helps.

I often thought of selling off he 40-150/4-5.6 when I bought the 40-150/2.8 PRO

However, for bringing about everyday - I'd rather have the slower aperture with the smaller overall size than the faster glass - especially since i will be shooting during the day with it most of the time.

Easy fix for the 50-200, Focus Tune.

Just crazy.

Yes Phocal, just got the v4 upgrade in the mail, but the 50-200 still hunts a bit ... Always at the worst time :)

Yes, the 150/2 is "my precious"
But the 40-150/2.8 isn't bad either!
Get both
