I have a friend that wants to upgrade from P&S cameras. He has 3 Olympus OM mount lenses, a 35mm f/2.8, a 35-105mm f/3.5-4.5, and a 300mm f/4.5. Is he better off getting the M5 or should he pay a little more and get the M10. Is there a difference on the video between the 2? I would probably loan or give him my 40-150 f/4.0-5.6. The M1 and M5 II are out of his price range.

Personally with any EVF of VF-2/E-M5 and better I don't use peaking for manual focus so that 'advantage' may not apply to your friend.
Either camera is a solid choice and decent value for money.

Agreed, my experience with epl2 +EVF2 not really use peaking, totally different when peaking with nx 300 in the screen. So, as m5 had a slightly bigger body, I'll go with it

Sent from my GT-N71 using E-3|E-PL2|E-M5|NX-300
