Vinegar weed, Lime Ridge Open Space, Walnut Creek, CA.

A tiny wildflower. With your bare eyes, you see a bit of blue color. A closeup picture with a good macro lens shows lots of beautiful detail.

Taken with Nikon DX camera (D5000) and Tamron 90mm macro before I started using m43 gear.

A violet I took a photo of whilst visiting my parents over Easter. They only live 20 miles away, but the violets in their village are all pale 'violet' compared to the deep purple colour around my neck of the woods:
