I've ordered one from amazon, £73 delivered. It would be rude not to try it at that price. Just wondering about the number of days in the UK that are suitable for f/8.. :)

Mine turned out ok. But yes more Sun is needed.

70% of me is saying, "cancel the pre-order, spend another £100 on the 14mm 2.5 and stop being so stupid" but I have a soft spot for this sort of thing. Realistically, I usually stop to 5.6 or thereabouts anyway, so I can get my usual shutter speed with a minor shunt to ISO.

I'll probably end up with the 14 f/2.5 and the 15 f/8, keeping the 15 for those special occasion sunny days :)

no one have thought about an EPM1 + this cap lens as a combo and probably THE best street shooting camera out there. it certainly would kill a Ricoh GRD in terms of image quality. dont know in controls though thats something Ricoh knows how to do. im seriously thinking about that. should i also add that this combination would be less or like $200 tops?

I don't think this plus E-PM1 would kill the GRD in image quality because the GRD lens is four stops faster and has better edge sharpness. On the other hand, the manual zone focus control should replicate what's so great about the GRD snap focus, so to me it's more like having the option to have a GRD-like experience for an extra $50.

hmmm true Amin. agreed. well lets just hope Ricoh updates the sensor in its GRD V...when i found m43landia was because i was looking onto the GRD IV but its sensor threw me away.

For the price it may very well be the best. But for a little more you can get what most would consider a better street camera, and for a lot more you can get an arguably way way better street shooting camera.

But for the price, size, and convenience, it could be pretty darn nice.

Also, where are you getting the EPM1 for $150? I will order one right now at that price.

Pre-ordering this has resurrected my love of primes :) Ordered the Sigma 30 and the Panasonic 14 to go with it. The 14-42 is a fairly capable kit lens, but I always preferred the increased speed and (usually) sharpness of primes. The bodycap will be a bit of a specialist item for when I just want the camera in my pocket, I guess :)

sadly cameta charges as much as 100 dollars to ship it to me in new zealand but if you are in the states you can grab it for 170 total Olympus Pen Mini E-PM1 Micro 4/3 Digital Camera Body Black USA | eBay pretty amazing deal isnt it?

My first post here, I just picked up the body cap lens today at a local camera store in Cleveland, Ohio. It's my first lens for my new PL1 that I bought from Cameta Camera. I can't wait to give it a spin.

Welcome mr.t. I love the idea that you are starting mu43 with an E-PL1 and the 15. B&H still lists the 15 as pre-order, so I'm a bit surprised it's in the camera shop. Look forward to seeing some images.

B&H shipped my 15mm on Thursday, will take a week to get here as I opted for free economy shipping. Really looking forward to converting my GF3 to a pocket cam.

Alan.
