Default Minolta 45mm MD Rokkor f/2

Here are the first two shots from the MD Rokkor 45mm.
This lens is much smaller than one might expect comparing favorably with the very stubby Hexanon. I'm giving this lens pretty high marks for IQ and surprisingly for color saturation.

A casual "natural habitat" shot to follow.

    Two Shots to begin:

First Image using the Lens Pen as Focus item.
Second image using the Aperture Ring of the lens behind as the point of focus.

    Lens Pen as focal point:

    Aperture Ring as focal point.

Here are two more from the 45mm MD Rokkor.

I'm quite impressed with this lens. i wish it were a little faster.

Thanks for posting these. May I ask what that short (f/1.8?) lens is on the right?

    I think it's a Konica Hexanon AR 40mm f1.8

This lens is very compact. Here is the MC 50mm f1.4 next to the 45mm f2.0

    Minolta Lenses

The lens is pretty light, feels well balanced on my EPL2

It is indeed a Konica Konica Hexanon 40mm... f1.8 though, not 1.7

I own a slew of the old Rokkors and love them.. some need some PP for CA, but what the heck.. they are a joy to use and cheap. The Rokkor files extols the virtues of the Sweet two's.

Beautiful images. What body are you shooting on krysdafur? F-stop?
