Description:
|
The Pro-Optic 8mm f/3.5 fisheye lens is a great choice for the fisheye effect on micro 4/3s. While it doesn't offer quite the angle of view or effect of native format lenses it comes very close for a small price. It offers manual focus and manual aperture selection and it available in a variety of lens mounts (though not native 4/3 or micro 4/3). It comes with a lens case, cap and built in petal hood. The design of the front element is such that it does not allow the use of filters.

For anyone looking to add an occasional fish eye shot, this can't be beat for price. I did find it to struggle a bit in certain situations, finding it hard to get it really sharp. Also a bit of fringing wide open, but very respectable performance for the price. It is very well built, and the aperture and focus rings easy to use... It does require an adapter, so get one that works on your DSLR if you have one - or pick a mount you are likely to buy another lens in. Very resistant to flare.
