Description:

Built between 1963-1973, this is a well made Pentax screw mount telephoto. It's fairly small, only 3.5 inches long and 2 2/8 inches wide, because of the f3.5 aperture. It has the image quality typical of a Pentax lens for the 70's which is fairly good for its time.

This lens has an uphill fight to compete with a modern Olympus Zuiko M.ED 40-150 zoom. It's a little faster, but doesn't resolve as well, and most images usually need a little contrast boost.
However, if you get it for under $10 like I did, then add a $12 ebay adapter and you have a nice optical bargain. It doesn't have much fringing and is reasonable sharp. Probably not for birds though.
