Pros:

This is the lens that saved me from going back to DSLRs when I had severe doubts about Micro 4/3 as a system. It's very sharp even wide open and stopped down to f/2.8 it's razor-sharp across the frame. The lens also has great bokeh and its AF is really fast and silent (at least on my Panasonic cameras). Its angle of view is equal to that of a 90mm lens on a full-frame camera, and as such it's very well suited for portraits with natural facial perspective.
The only downsides I can think of are:
1) significant spherochromatism (green fringes around background highlights and magenta fringes around foreground highlights)
2) oddball filter size (37 mm). Seriously, Olympus, how many filter sizes do we need?
3) The silver finish doesn't look good with my black Panasonic GH2.

Great lens for the money. Fast and quiet auto focus. It can hunt just a tiny bit under low lighting and low contrast conditions. Great for portraits. Adequately sharp wide open, and sharpens up quite nicely stopped down to f2.8. Smooth bokeh. Construction could be better, specially the ring that needs to be detached before the OEM hood can be used. It does not come with a hood or a protective pouch. Olympus being cheap. A must have for all m4/3 users.

This one sold me to MFT, especially that I love to shoot portraits (and landscapes). The image IQ, fast AF is unmatched in its class and even some SLR "portrait" lenses.
For a "serious" MFT user, this prime lens is a MUST.
